I am a Doctoral Student and IMLS Fellow at The College of Information Science and Technology at Drexel University.

Research Interests

Digital libraries, crowd-sourced metadata, social media, information retrieval, and health & medical informatics.

I investigate the behaviors and activities of authorities and non-authorities for knowledge acquisition in areas like medicine and healthcare where misinformation can have catastophic effects. I am currently researching web queries to a managed care consumer health website, the use of crowdsourced metadata for search and comparison with authority-created metadata, and user interface / system design for social annotation and search.
